Concrete-style fasteners on wood ties         
On the BNSF at Cadiz, I saw contrete tie fasteners used on wooden ties. I had never seen that before.

Harry Edmunds General That's also a nice clean Thermite weld too. I've noticed a lot of tie clips on the wood ties here in colorado. They must provide a more stable attachment between the rail and the tie. 10/7/2016 3:16:51 PM
